Drink Eat Travel

Recently, I've developed a passion for traveling...who doesn't?
For me, travelling isn't about shopping/luxuries/glamour. It's about exposure, experience and best of all, indulging in different cultures. To witness the difference in ethnicity and traditions.....ENTICING is the word for it : )Few days ago, my dad brought me to Jakarta for a business trip. Haha truthfully, I was just parasiting..."business trip" my butt. I was amazed by the population...the hours locals spend on the road..the exquisite malls..the crazy inflated prices! ( I was a self-proclaimed millionaire in Jakarta)
Famous indonesian kuih lapis

The whole experience was really overwhelming...As notorious as the place can be, I was blown-away by malls. It's BEAUTIFUL...The shiny marbles plastered on the walls accompanied by eye-catching decorations..compared to the ones back home, jakarta wins HANDS DOWN!
Those who loves spicy food would love Indonesian food. It's mainly fried or barbequed, dipped into an array of chilly paste (of your choice) ...the explosion of flavours in your mouth is magnifico..I was amazed.

However, my dad didn't think it was THAT fantastic. He still preferred the food back home..the more chinese-oriented cooking. I guess it depends on your personal tastebud.

In two weeks...i'll be off to HONG KONG!:D yay to andy lau, yay to raymond lam *crosses finger*
